Hello!
Welcome to my online teaching portfolio. Here you can find an up-to-date copy of my resume, transcript, and teaching credentials.
I have also included information about me and my teaching philosophy, along with sample units and lesson plans I have designed and implemented in the classroom.
About Me
My name is Emmalee White, and I am a resident of Jefferson County. I am an ambitious and curious person who loves to learn. Growing up I absolutely loved all aspects of school from the social activities to learning in the classroom! This natural love for learning along with my desire to help children led me to wanting to become an educator. My hope is to be able to inspire children to love learning while also giving them experiences to support their social development. By fostering a collaborative, supportive, structured, and positive learning environment I will be able to give students security in the classroom. This will assist them being able to ask questions, make mistakes, and learn.
I recently completed my undergrad in Early Childhood/Childhood Education through SUNY Potsdam as of December 2025. I am continuing my education at SUNY Potsdam through an online master's program in special education. My goal is to be able to assist all types of students in their social, academic, and emotional needs so that they too can see and feel the power of learning and acquiring knowledge.
About My Teaching Philosophy
My teaching philosophy is grounded in patience, inclusion, and a belief that every student can grow academically and personally when given the right support. I strive to create a classroom environment where students feel valued and learn to become responsible, respectful members of the classroom, the school community, and the world beyond it. I integrate subjects whenever possible to help students make meaningful connections across content areas and apply their learning to real-life situations. Instruction is differentiated through small-group learning based on students’ abilities and needs, allowing me to provide targeted support while fostering confidence and independence. I use frequent assessments to monitor student progress, guide instruction, and identify areas where additional support or enrichment is needed, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to succeed.
